B. SHANE GUIN, PE
BACKGROUND
Shane is the managing partner of the firm with diverse civil/structural experience in both the private and public sectors. He founded the firm in 2015 with an emphasis on ensuring client satisfaction and providing true consulting services to the benefit of the firm’s clients. Shane received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and later acquired his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. Shane has over 20 years of experience in both civil and structural engineering projects for his private and public clients with professional licenses in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and Wyoming.
INTERESTS
Shane is the proud father of five very active boys (Jacob, Zachary, Samuel, Wyatt, and Henson) which he tries to corral with his beautiful wife Kelly. Activities outside of the office include anything Aggie, hunting, very little fishing, a lot of fixing what the kids' break, and occasional sleep.
SCOTT M. POIRRIER, PE
BACKGROUND
Scott joined HTC in 2018 as a partner with nearly a decade of experience working as an engineering consultant managing commercial, residential, and light industrial projects for national, regional, and local clients. His wide range of knowledge and experience managing projects from the early conceptual planning stage through technical design and permitting support have led to many successful projects and satisfied clients. He also has a wealth of experience designing public civil infrastructure for developments, providing master plan drainage studies, as well as permitting expertise. Scott is a 2008 Graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed professional in the state of Louisiana.
INTERESTS
Scott was born and raised in the River Parishes where he still resides with his wife Candice and three children, Weston, Aubrey, and Stella. As a former collegiate athlete, he enjoys pretty much anything competitive but really loves being outdoors (hunting or fishing). On the weekends, you will find Scott spending most of his time with his kids in the yard, coaching his kids in their activities, or at family gatherings.
RICHARD "RICKY" GALLOWAY, P.E.
BACKGROUND
Richard “Ricky” Galloway, P.E. joined the High Tide team in 2020 to drive the establishment and growth of our Northshore area office. Ricky is a native and resident of St. Tammany Parish with over 25 years of professional experience in the land development and public works markets. Ricky graduated from Louisiana State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Louisiana and seven other states and is a member of ASCE, LES, ACEC, Urban Land Institute, and the St. Tammany Chamber. His land development project experience includes commercial, residential subdivisions, multi-family, industrial/distribution and mixed-use developments ranging in size from one-half acre to 1,000+ acres. Experience includes all aspects of site design including conceptual planning, due diligence, site pavement, drainage, utilities, green infrastructure, permitting, entitlements and construction administration. His land development clients have included local developers, regional companies and national corporations including several Fortune 500 companies. In the public works market, Ricky has vast experience in the design and construction of a wide array of infrastructure projects including hydrology and hydraulics, roadway, stormwater management, floodplain analysis, flood control structures, water and sewer systems, sewer lift stations, bridges, bulkheads, and regulatory permitting. Recent public works clients include St Tammany Parish, all major municipal entities in the parish, as well as municipalities in surrounding areas. Ricky has demonstrated keen leadership throughout his career. He is an adept team player and has a history of shepherding colleagues to complete projects in a timely and successful manner His achievement stems from his ability to orchestrate collaboration under a variety of circumstances.
INTERESTS
Ricky lives in Covington with his two children, Wayne and Rebecca. In addition to enjoying his children’s many sporting events, he enjoys traveling, photography, reading, kayaking, biking, and attending local community events..
